Rexroth Gear Pump AZPF：General information
Mechanical energy (torque and speed) is converted into hydraulic energy (flow and pressure) using exterior gear pumps; the high efficiency of Rexroth’s external gear units is achieved through heat loss minimization via seal gap sealing that depends on the pressure and accurate manufacturing. Resultantly, this leads to lowered pressures and power consumption. Hence, Rexroth Gear Pumps save energy, improve efficiency, and extend the pump’s life.

The major components of an external gear pump are a pair of gear wheels supported within a housing containing a rear cover and a front cover. The drive shaft passes through the front cover, which is usually sealed with a shaft seal ring. Bearing forces are absorbed by slide bearings designed for low rotational speeds at high pressures and dry running qualities.
Each toothed wheel has 12 teeth that minimize both flow pulsation and noise radiation. Pressure-dependent forces are used for internal sealing of pressure chambers ensuring optimum effectiveness.The movable bearing bushes’ exterior faces become pressurized, acting as seals between the gear wheels with assistance from specific seals defining the pressurized zone. Radial sealing against housing is done by minimal gaps at the tips of teeth based on pressure between the housing the formed wheelsmed.
