Installation Guidelines for A6V Series Plunger Pump

Commissioning and Operation:

  • Filling and Air Bleeding:Completely fill the axial piston unit with hydraulic oil and vent it well during commissioning or after long periods of disuse, especially for shaft-up mounting to avoid dry running.

  • Seal Control:Lead external leakage back into the reservoir through the highest drain port (T, K1, K2, R(T)). Ensure that each pump in combination systems has a separate drain-back line and case pressures do not exceed permissible limits. If necessary, use individual drain lines.

  • Noise Reduction:Decouple all connecting lines using flexible elements; avoid installations above tank level. Let suction and drain lines flow into the reservoir below minimum fluid level.

  • Suction Pressure:Keep maximum suction height at 800 mm. The minimum suction pressure at port S should not drop below 0.8 bar absolute (without charge pump) or 0.7 bar absolute (with charge pump) during operation and cold start.

Installation Positions:

    1. Below-Tank Installation (Standard):

      • Place motor below tank’s minimum fluid level. Recommended positions: 1 and 2.
    2. Above-Tank Installation:

      • Mount motor above minimum fluid level. Use check valve (7.25 psi / 0.5 bar) for prevention of system draining through case drain line on shaft up installations.
