NACHI VDR Series Vane Pump has a displacement range from 5.8 to 123 cm³/rev and can work under maximum pressure up to 160 bars. Speed range of this pump is between 600-1800 rpm and it is suitable for fluid with viscosity ranging from 15-200 cSt. Operational temperature is between -20°C to +80°C. VDR series provides SAE and ISO standard mounting flanges with different kind of shafts like straight key, spline or tapered options are available also.

VDR Series Vane Pump Installation and Operation Guidelines
Installation
Rotation Direction
When you view it from the shaft side, the direction of rotation is always clockwise.
Drainage
- Directly pipe to a point lower than the tank fluid level.
- The back pressure should not exceed 0.03 MPa.
- For pumps with dual drain ports, after installation, use the one that is higher.
Adjustment of Discharge Volume
- To decrease flow rate rotate discharge rate adjusting screw clockwise and anticlockwise to increase it.
- Before adjustments loosen the lock nut and afterwards re-tighten it.
Initial Operation:
- Make sure pump discharge side is in no-load condition before starting.
- Start and stop the motor repeatedly so as to bleed air out of the pump and suction piping.
- Once oil discharge is confirmed run the pump under no-load condition for at least 10 minutes so as to discharge all air from circuit.
- Use an air bleed valve on circuits where bleeding air before startup is difficult.
Maintenance
- Hydraulic Fluid: Use ISO VG32 (for pressures up to 7 MPa ) or ISO VG68 (for pressures greater than 7 MPa) hydraulic fluids.
- Operating Temperature: 15 – 60°C. Warm up at low pressure if start-up temperature is below 15°C .
- Suction Pressure: Keep between -0.03 to +0.03 MPa.
- Suction Strainer: Use a filter of about 100 µm (150 mesh) grade.
